The Centre for Understanding Disability Better is an innovative concept that provides persons living with disability an opportunity to express their views and insights on the subject of disability by sharing their experiences with the challenges they face in life, especially when it comes to navigating through social imbalances caused by disability, mediating disability related disputes and conflicts, and recovering from the traumas and humiliations they face on a daily basis. By doing so, through the facilitation and resources offered by the Centre, persons with disabilities can learn to live and cope with the impacts of disability with a view to achieving greater self-awareness, self-determination, and independence in their lives.
